Vision & Plans
Cross Missions envisions new expanded ministries in the Rupununi region of Guyana. The spiritual and physical needs are many in the Rupununi Amerindian villages
of Annai. People in the Amerindian villages of this area are receptive to hearing God's word. There is great opportunity to further the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the Lord
is already at work. The Annai Amerindian Council has graciously provided a tract of land for a future Bible School facility. Initial donations have been sufficient thus far
to begin groundbreaking in March of 2024. We are trusting God for additional funds to complete the facility in the near future.
Examples of new ministries possible in the future Bible School facility are:
A. Bible Study classes for the community that can be taught to address very difficult family/community issues such as marriage responsibilities, pre-marital sex, alcohol/substance abuse, as well as Bible doctrine for daily living.> B. Pastoral and Bible teacher training classes that can be held to strengthen individual Christian lives and churches.> C. Technical training courses that can be provided to augment, not duplicate, those existing at the local technical school. Training in areas such as hydraulics, solar principles, electrical repair, and basic electrical circuit design.> --- Classes for Bible study, pastoral and Bible teacher training and technical training are planned as both on-site and internet provided ---> D. Hosting of periodic dental and medical health clinics that can be staffed by visiting United States doctors and nurses.
THE FOLLOWING IS A CHRONOLOGICAL PICTORAL RECORD OF PROGRESS ON THE CROSS MISSIONS BIBLE SCHOOL:

Groundbreaking got underway in March 2024.
Footings, perimeter concrete block laying and concrete post pads are under construction this month, April 2024. See pictures below.
Note the buildings to the left in the picture above. Attached to the rear of the Rupertee Bible Baptist Church are 4 apartments. These are the apartments where mission team members reside. The apartments can accommodate 11 people.
Progress! Progress! Progress! PTL! The severe rainy seasons washed out the bridge between Annai and Lethem, making it nearly impossible to get concrete for the slab and block for walls. But, recently enough supplies have arrived to continue construction. As of June 20, the slab is complete, concrete columns are up and block for walls has been delivered. As progress continues, we look forward to a mission team effort in November to work alongside the Amerindians to further completion. MORE TO FOLLOW SOON ABOUT PENDING NOVEMBER MISSIONS TRIP
As of August 1, walls are up! Windows and roof trusses will be next. The roof truss lumber is currently curing, having been cut from nearby jungle areas recently. A MISSION TRIP IS PLANNED EARLY NOVEMBER TO HELP WITH FURTHER CONSTRUCTION AND TO CONDUCT EVANGELISTIC SERVICES WITH LOCAL AMERINDIANS. PLEASE PRAY
Rafters in place! Zinc metal roofing to be added soon. Structure will be "dried in". November mission trip coming soon. Thank you Lord for all you do and will do!
