DOCTRINE
The Person of Jesus Christ
We believe in the virgin birth of Christ; His Deity and sinless life; His vicarious death on the Cross; His blood atonement; His bodily resurrection and His ascension; and, His personal pre-millennial return.
The Trinity
We believe in one God, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. We see God in His creation (Genesis 1:1). We also see the Holy Sprit in creation (Genesis 1:2) and we see Jesus Christ in creation (John 1:3). The Holy Spirit is a person and the executive of the Godhead. He executes the plan of God for our conviction and salvation. He indwells and fills the believers and bestows gifts to the believers for service.
Salvation
We believe there is only one way to know God, and that way is to know Jesus Christ as the Lord and Saviour. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth and the life. No man can come to the Father except through Me (John 14:6). Salvation is the gift of God, not by any of our good works or deeds (Ephesians 2:8-9). Salvation is a one-time event in a believer's life. That's why Jesus said you must be born again (John 3:3). Every person who has ever been born is a sinner by natural birth and that's why we must be born from above. We need a spiritual birth which occurs when we call upon the name of the Lord Jesus Christ to forgive us of our unbelief and sins, and to save our souls from the penalties of our sins. We must invite Him into our hearts and then live following him. Salvation is by faith alone plus nothing and minus nothing.
The Word of God
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God. The writings of the of the Old and New Testaments are God breathed, and every word was chosen by God. The Bible is the very word of God, inerrant in all its teachings. The Bible is the only infallible authority for doctrine and the Christian life. Hebrews 4:12; Psalm 12:6; 2 Timothy 2:15; Luke 21:33; Acts 1:16; John 10:35; 2 Peter 1:19-20
The Church
We believe in the local church, and its responsibility to preach and teach the word of God without compromise. The local church is responsible for winning lost souls to Christ, discipling the believers, and carrying out the Great Commission by supporting missionaries. There are only two ordinances of the church, which are Baptism and the Lord's Supper. Ephesians 4:5; Romans 6:4; Matthew 3:16; Mark 16:16; 1 Corinthians 11:26-28; Mark 16:15; Romans 10:12-15.
