Pomeroon
THE POMEROON --- HOME OF ARAWAK AMERINDIAN VILLAGES
The Pomeroon region is similar to the everglades area of the United States. Amerindians reside on small islands which are only accessible by boat. Many separate villages reside on these islands and the opportunities to share Christ are great.
A missions volunteer prays with an Amerindian lady who came forward during a Sunday morning church service. Cross Missions volunteers are welcomed to speak in various Christian churches in the Pomeroon.
Cross Missions has been welcomed by the Amerindians to speak in schools. Students are typically very attentive. Several decisions for Christ have occurred by students in their school setting.

Glenn works on sinking a shallow well near the elementary school in Wakapau village during the Nov 2024 missions trip. This one found "muck" and had to be pulled. Will try again in a different location.
